First are the Halloween pics: Brooklyn was a sumo wrestler - I really thought I had taken a picture of her in her costume. Didn't happen. So I took picture of her with her INSANE candy stash. She went trick or treating with a friend, and her bucket was filled to overflowing. Go Brooky!
Sawyer was Knuckles from the Sonic video game.
Porter was Sonic from the Sonic video game.
Ella was an adorable pink unicorn.
Emma was a cutest cow ever!
We went Trick or treating with friends, and I ate Yummo clam chowder. What is better than that? Good Food. Good friends. More and more I am really finding deep joy in those moments that are made up of things money cannot buy. I find myself slowing down and savoring small moments throughout the day that fill my spirit to capacity with peace and light. Yesterday, it was watching Emma eat her fruit cup. She was really enjoying her lunch, and I just enjoyed being with her. She has such a happy spirit, and I felt it as we sat. I feel so blessed.
On to the ridiculous conversation:
Scene: Snuggling under the covers with Joel and getting ready to snooze the night away.
Joel: I was looking online at snow making machines, and the one I want has gone up in price since last year.
Shantel: Why do you want a snow making machine here? Where is snows in October?
Joel: because, they are awesome. And I want to be the first.
Shantel: First what?
Joel: The first to have snow on our lawn.
Shantel: huh?
Joel: Think about it. Our neighbors come out of their house and see our lawn covered in snow. Their lawns have no snow. They will be confused, they will have no idea how that happened. It will be so funny.
Shantel: So you want to spend money on a snow machine to confuse the neighbors?
Joel: That is only half of it. Then if I get a giant lens that I can melt the snow with, using the power of the sun - THEN, we can be the first to have NO snow in the spring. It will be like our house has magical powers. Awesome!
Shantel: You are seriously wanting to do this?
Joel: Yes. I have many other brilliant ideas just like this. They are just waiting for the right time to appear.
Shantel: Are we sleeping now?
Joel: Yes. But dream of snow.
Shantel: ummm...yeah, I'll do that.
